Case Study: Social Media Content Creation at Cineworld Ipswich
Having worked at Cineworld Ipswich as a Team Leader since 2018, it was an honour to be given the keys to the Social Media accounts in 2023. I dived head-first into the opportunity, shooting and editing several short videos ranging from promotional videos to sketches and trends, aiming to create Instagram content for every single day, and 4-5 Facebook posts a week.
In that time* Cineworld Ipswich’s social presence saw a Facebook Reach of 631,263 and an Instagram Reach of 22,355,818 (Up 379.4K%). Facebook got 31,677 visits (Up 200.5%) and Instagram got 41,368 visits (Up 3k%)
*(Stats from 1/1/23-1/2/24)
This was achieved through constant experimentation using creative video and photo content across Facebook and Instagram and their Reels platform as well as trying different upload times and ways to engage with the audience.
Through being allowed creative freedom I have been able to implement all sorts of editing and filming techniques as well as playing with trends, references through popular culture, special effects, writing, and more to generate unique and engaging content.
At its high, videos I’ve shot and edited for Cineworld Ipswich have reached views up to 24.2+ Million, with 3+ Million Likes and 19,000+ comments.
With success such as this, I’ve been nominated for Cineworld’s 2023 Spotlight Award which rewards one member of staff across the entire company for shining achievement in the field of Innovation, Achieving, or People. I made it to the final six nominees, having won Regional and South Divisional rounds of the award earlier in the year.
